The aim of the improvement collaborative is to spread best practice, reduce infections and improve outcomes for patients with urinary catheters or intravascular devices.
Purpose of the Launch Event
To discuss best practice in relation to the management of urinary catheters and intravascular devices
To capture the experience of front-line clinicians and use the findings from the launch event to inform the development of resources to support improvement
We are seeking to bring together front-line clinicians from acute and primary care, members of the Infection Prevention Society and other professional societies who have expertise in managing patients with urinary catheters and intravascular devices
We are seeking to draw on your expertise during the day, to inform the development of strategies and resources to support best practice in relation to care of devices.
Information gathered during the day would be made available to delegates and there will be further opportunities to participate in the work of the collaborative.
The event will start at 10.30am (registration from 10.00am) with a series of short talks. These will be followed by workshops that will focus on the current reality of practice and what is needed to assure best practice. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
